Horendi

Horendi looks at a ritual of spirit possession that two women in the film undergo in the town of Niamey, Niger. The resulting analysis of the relationship between music and dance is achieved through the use of slow motion and synchronised image and sound. At the same time, the film is a pure example of Rouch's understanding of direct cinema. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
