anglais This comedy, which is a remake of a French film, wants to say so much, it wants to take viewers to different places, but what is happening simply isn't as interesting as one would wish. Billy Crystal and Robin Williams are probably a good team, but their humor just didn't work here. Their characters weren't funny to me, even though they were supposed to be the funniest in the whole movie. That is quite sad in itself. ()

anglais Compared to the French original, this is nothing. You laugh a few times and have a relatively decent time (thanks to the great actors), but compared to the original it's really weak. ()

anglais Hollywood remakes of French films are mostly crap, that’s a well known fact, and Father’s Day is no exception. The humour is lost, replaced by awkwardness and hamminess. Billy Crystal is boring Robin Williams embarrassing. ()
