At the beginning of his filmmaking career, David Cronenberg proved to be a distinctive personality endowed with original creative vision. Stereo is his feature-length documentary-style debut, which presents the findings of an observation of volunteers with telepathic powers they had been applied in a medical experiment. What attracts the attention is the film's sparing but captivating visual aspect. (Summer Film School)

anglais I admire this film mainly based on its form. Even though it's one of Cronenberg's first films, you get the feeling that it was made by a man who had a clear vision. Yes, it's intimate, but it's clearly stylized and professionally executed. Cronenberg had no doubts about anything. And I do not doubt that even after all these years this film can still appeal to audiences. ()
