anglais Silence, depression, muteness and yet half of the things said in addition. There is little more exhausting than watching an hour and a half fatally simplified story with two aspects - staring Ralph Fiennes and half-hearted flashbacks. Not even a mesmerizing movie star could bring me closer to Cronenberg's study of a damaged mind. No intimacy, unnecessary form. ()

anglais I hate spiders, but I love this one. Ralph Fiennes confirms that he can play anything, but if his character is weird in any way, so much the better for him (and for us). Four strong stars after the first viewing, a clear five after the second. And the fact that I knew the point didn't matter at all. As a friend of mine once said - the film is like a popsicle. Chilling, but damn good. ()

anglais "Spider" is a classic Cronenberg film, but it already shows significant hints of what we see in his current work. Minimum gore and maximum human mind, which has reached a state that cannot be considered normal. Cronenberg still maintains his effort to shock, although in this case it is already through the story, not what we see. At times, he is open, which is simply his motto, but on the other hand, he is more oriented towards the inner soul, not the inner body. However, the truth is that this more accessible style suits him as well, which is no less depressing than his bloody film beginnings in some aspects. ()
