anglais A Soviet-Indian co-production of Uzbekfilm and Eagle Films. The Indian aspects prevailed and we don’t really find the Soviets in it... This film at least somewhat functions. Zeenat Aman is beautiful, Hema Malini is ideally fairytale-like, and yet there is too much action for my liking and Ali-Baba is simply not one of my favorite fairy tales. As for the alienating elements, the disco floor is an absolute fail (!), and everything else is insignificant and irrelevant compared to those rainbow squares. ()
