Les enfants de Lena et Hal se réunissent dans la maison familiale à l'occasion de Thanksgiving. Derrière la nostalgie de l'enfance retrouvée et le plaisir d'être ensemble se dessinent les heurts et les désillusions de leur vie présente. It’s not even that fun. But how could it be fun when it takes place in New England that inherited far too much dryness from the good old England. In any case, the characters had something to them and I managed to watch them for the entire hour and a half. They’re these real-life characters who allowed me to step into the movie, get a little wild with the camera and then exit again inconspicuously, leaving them all in a worse mental state than when I first came. There’s nothing better than visiting a family, completely taking them apart and then leaving quietly. And that’s exactly what this movie is like.
