(Metropolitan FilmExport)

anglais There are a couple of funny moments, but the unfunny distastefulness and obscenity is overwhelming. (I had to watch it for English at school – the topic of food and drink – I would have never watched it myself). ()

anglais I'm no puritan or moralist – I found a lot of the dialogue hilarious, and I’m not going to give the movie less than a three. But the fact is that the ratio of good and not-so-good jokes here is about fifty-fifty. The movie also has a great cast, so voilà! a slightly above-average rating. ()

anglais This "generation statement" film, shot in the spirit of toilet humor comedies (which, truth be told, seems somewhat out of place here), portrays people who have nothing left and struggle daily with the mundane problems of a fast-food restaurant. However, the notion of it being a genuine statement is meant with heavy irony. Unfortunately, the debut director McKittrick's strategy of pushing the pedal to the metal and serving one joke after another, most of which lack humor and are instead wrapped in awkwardness, did not pay off. The film is mind-numbingly dull and the cadence of nastiness per minute of film action is deadly. While it's quite normal to see Justin Long, Anna Faris, and Ryan Reynolds in such a film, the fact that even Luis Guzmán's performance in the film is awkward or forced is a prime example of the decline of his acting prowess. The only lesson to be learned here is that after watching this film, it's better to wander the streets hungry than to go for a medium-sized steak at a fast-food joint. ()
