The Milton Berle Show

The Milton Berle Show made its way from radio to television in 1948. Berle brought his vaudeville slapstick and outlandish costumes to the show, which he structured as a variety show based on his vaudeville acts. After Berle's show began, TV set sales more then doubled securing the nickname "Mr. Television." (Synergy Entertainment)
