Au début du XXe siècle, Alfred Fisher, passionné par l'occultisme, achète un médaillon mysterique. Au cours d'un rituel, il l'utilise pour libérer trois succubes de l'enfer. In the film Flesh for the Beast, it's clear that it was made for enjoyment, that a group of people simply wanted to fulfill a small dream. The scenes are simplified, and the cuts are designed so that filming more complex sequences with special effects isn't too challenging, but as a whole, it works well. You can see the craftsmanship here. That doesn't apply to the storytelling skill, however, which is somewhat static; the film lacks the right dynamism but instead rides along at a leisurely pace. It's a shame about the horror moments that simply aren't scary.
