Matt Rife: Natural Selection

Looks like I'm sailing against the current here, but I really enjoyed this special. Matt Rife clearly knows what he's talking about, especially when it comes to his masturbation experiences. What really made my day was seeing that there are still young people (born in the 90s or later) who haven't been completely brainwashed by today's crazy society and can still hold onto their own (and very relatable) opinions. I had a great time watching and wouldn't mind sticking around for more, especially to see more of his interactions with the audience. / Lesson learned: Always return what you borrow. (10/07/2024)

The most natural entertainer, who can turn a banal sentence into a gem and gracefully skates out of every situation with unmatched grace, gathers stories from his childhood, adolescence, and recent years... and fails miserably. I was looking forward to his Netflix special more than anything, but I didn't laugh once in the entire hour, the corners of my mouth merely twitched in two places. If I had known Matt Rife only from Natural Selection, I would be thinking he was a stupid snob with no comedic timing, so it's a shame that many viewers will only see this side of him. (05/01/2024)
