I must say that as far as the plot goes, it was pure bullcrap. Because if you’re not a smoker, you’ll never understand these two lunatics who made a bet that they quit smoking. Everything feels absurd and the whole plot doesn’t really make much sense to you. After about 20 minutes, I decided to lay back and accept the fact that everything else would stand or fall with this not-so-likeable premise and so I started laughing at those two idiots. In the end, the unremarkable beginning turned into a solid array of scenes that proved that French situational comedy is unparalleled and, in the end, I took quite a liking to the movie. I’ll definitely watch it again soon. I just hope I won’t be a smoker by then and think about how stupid I was for not understanding those two idiots and criticizing the way they’re acting.
