This show seems like a version of Magic Kaito 1412 (also out now) for five-year-olds. There is a phantom robber who steals stuff, although this time in a slightly infantile and - perhaps for some - cute animation with a narrative that does not promise a very complex storyline from what I have seen. I like pretty things, and a lot of nonsense that most people dismiss can amuse me and perhaps even move me slightly sometimes, although this show did not do that for me. I do not know if it is because I do not want to get into two anime series with similar themes in one year. Perhaps it is because I have the feeling that I am watching something that I think would fit kids’ TV, or maybe it could be because I am not really into magic in the form of magicians using different tricks. (This could be one of the reasons why I might end up watching Magic Kaito 1412 in the future). Still, after the first episode, I am done. I may watch it again one day when I have more time, even though not now at the beginning of the fall season with so many interesting new shows coming out. Unfortunately, Kaitou Joker did not impress me. ()
