In the early 20th Century, devout Reverend Charles Fortesque returns to England from his missionary work in Africa and, despite plans to marry his childhood sweetheart, receives a most unusual assignment: minister to the local prostitutes, located in the worst area of town. This movie is like eating out at McDonald’s; it’s not bad, it’s not good either, you know exactly what you can expect and although you know it’s not a gourmet experience, you like it anyway.
