Deux frères jumeaux arrivent dans la maison de campagne de leur mère et la découvrent le visage couvert de bandages - conséquence, selon elle, d'une opération de chirurgie esthétique. Alors que son comportement devient de plus en plus bizarre, une idée effrayante grandit peu à peu dans l'esprit des deux garçons : peut-être que la femme sous ces bandages n'est pas leur mère. Under different circumstances, I would have given it four stars, but I had a slight problem with this film. I was a bit bored for the most part. As long as there was dialogue, everything was fine. The two brothers had the perfect look to create a tense atmosphere. But the space between dialogue or any kind of interaction wasn’t used sufficiently. Possible Spoiler Alert! Despite my complaints, I have to admit that the creators managed to work with the atmosphere, they were able to build up suspense and confused me perfectly when it came to the final denouement. Usually, I can guess how a story will turn out, but I was dead wrong in this case. Naomi Watts (if it was her, because I wasn’t sure about the color of her eyes) was convincing. As much as I (mostly) dislike child actors, the twins did an awesome job. / Lesson learned: An old barn burns really well.
