Hakuóki

The time is one of upheaval, at the end of Bakumatsu period. A young woman named Yukimura Chizuru travels from Edo to the capital, Kyoto, in search of her missing father. Suddenly, the Rasetsu (inhuman beings committing terrible deeds) appear before her, trailed by the Shinsengumi, a unit of warriors lead by Hijikata Toshizou. The Shinsengumi deal with the Rasetsu before them in an instant. Chizuru, however, doesn't know that the fate of her father, Koudou, is inextricably bound to both the Rasetsu and the Shinsengumi. Before long, Chizuru puts herself in the Shinsengumi's care as she continues the search for her father. (Crunchyroll)
