The Cathedral

A Spanish monk, Justo Gallego, is expelled from his monastery at the age of 28 and decides to devote his life to God by building a cathedral in a forgotten village, Mejorada del Campo, on the outskirts of Madrid. Over the next sixty years, without help or architectural expertise, he builds a cathedral the size of Sagrada Familia using waste and recycled materials. He works mostly alone, without the approval of other villagers, who consider him a madman. (MFF Cinematik Piešťany)
