Une plongée crédible et très civile dans le monde des jeunes Sioux modernes qui cherchent encore leur place dans le monde des décennies après le déracinement irrévocable de leurs ancêtres. Un film magnifiquement conçu et remarquablement interprété et je comprends ce qu'il essaie de dire, mais je dois cyniquement ajouter que, avec sa longueur démesurée, il n'a tout simplement pas la force d'attraction nécessaire pour me garder, en tant que spectateur, captivé jusqu'à la fin. I don't see anything revelatory or interesting in this film at all, although the reviews suggested that it would be one of the more substantial screenings of the festival. An ordinary American indie, the kind we get dozens of every year, which after a few months, when they have passed through the festival circuit, nobody remembers anymore. And just after the screening of the Czech BANGER., I guess I wasn't in the mood for any more badass drug dealers. The only thing I would acknowledge is that Jojo Bapteise Whiting is a likeable guy and an acting revelation. (56th KVIFF) (10/07/2022)

I was a little worried that it would be an endless and boring movie. The opposite is true. I hated all the characters at first and eventually grew to like them. It's a film about finding values and starting points that are not familiar to Europeans. The story is really beautiful and shot so realistically that you want to follow the characters and help them, even though they are quite stubborn. Movies set in rural America tend to be slow and revolve around similar themes, but this is an absolute blast that guarantees a rush of emotion and entertainment. (06/07/2022)
