Anny Ondra in a film that foreshadowed the style of Petr Schullhoff. Or, this is also Anny Ondra in the first ambitious film produced by Prag - Film AG. Or Anny Ondra in her last film of the 1940s. Or Anny Ondra playing the role of a mother for the second time. The film was made as an adaptation of Hans Fallada's novel "Občánek milionářem" (Kleiner Mann, grosser Mann, alles vertauscht oder Max Schreyvogels Last und Lust des Geldes) and everything that happened on screen was actually just a traditional moral on how to keep your sanity when you are tempted by easily acquired wealth. That's as true today as it was then. ()
