The withdrawn and recently divorced Emily (Talia Shire) lives a lonely existence. But after enduring a bizarre assault at the hands of a stranger, Emily finds both comfort and friendship in her neighbor Andrea (Elizabeth Ashley). While Talia Shire has been quite criticized for this film, I again thought she was one of the few bright spots in this would-be thriller. The opening is great, but the subsequent development does not match it. The finale could also have been interesting if it had all fit together a bit more.
