Alep, 2016. Lamya, 12 ans, doit fuir à cause de la guerre civile qui sévit dans son pays. La rêveuse trouve refuge dans son livre de poèmes écrit il y a des siècles par le poète Rûmî, qu’elle rencontre dans son monde imaginaire. Ensemble, ils affrontent les monstres et partent à la recherche des sources d’inspiration de Rûmî pour ces magnifiques poèmes qui réconfortent tant Lamya. Lamya's Poem traite des conséquences de la guerre à travers les yeux d’une enfant. Inspiré par les peintures aquarelles, ce film d’animation touchant nous parle d’une fillette qui fuit la dure réalité grâce au pouvoir de la poésie. (Zurich Film Festival)
