Biographie
Romany Malco is an American-born Trinidadian. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he moved to Texas when he was a teenager and formed the rap group, R.M.G. After graduating high-school, the group relocated to Los Angeles and changed their name to College Boyz after signing with Virgin Records. Years of demonstrating his musical talent, he turned to acting and has since become a successful actor in both film and television.
Malco can be seen on the cartoon series "Unsupervised" on FX. The animated, half-hour comedy is about two eternally optimistic best friends "Gary" and "Joel," who are navigating the harsh landscape of adolescence and trying to do what's right, despite having no parental guidance whatsoever. Romany plays the voice of "Darius," which also features the voices of Justin Long, David Hornsby, Kristen Bell and Rob Rosell.
Malco can be seen on the CBS drama series "The Good Wife" and was also on the ABC primetime series "No Ordinary Family." In early 2011, Malco's" Tijuana Jackson: Life Coach" series aired on HBO's "Funny or Die Presents," where he played an ex-convict turned motivational speaker.
Malco's breakout role was as the trash-talking womanizer, Jay in Judd Apatow's 2005 box office hit, The 40 Year Old Virgin opposite Steve Carell. He is also known for his role in the Showtime hit series " Weeds" as Conrad Shepard, the love interest and business partner to Nancy Botwin played by award-winning actress Mary-Louise Parker. Malco also gained attention for memorable supporting roles in films such as Blades of Glory, The Love Guru, and Baby Mama opposite Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. He continues to land roles in A-list productions, as he was cast in Earthbound, starring Kate Hudson.
Showcasing his versatility in critically acclaimed art-house productions Malco was in the indie comedy The Chateau alongside Paul Rudd. Other titles include The Prime Gig opposite Vince Vaughn, and the wit-filled Saint John of Las Vegas with Steve Buscemi.
