Biographie
Born in Kabul, Atiq Rahimi was first noticed as a stylish writer in 2000 on the occasion of the publication of his first novel Terres et cendres which has been translated in more than twenty-one countries. In 2002, he shot Earth and Ashes, his highly acclaimed debut feature film which premiered in 2004 at the Cannes International Film Festival. Co-written with Jean-Claude Carrière, Patience Stone is Atiq's internationally acclaimed second feature film.
