Although the whole film doesn't escape from the darkness, both visually and emotionally, the promise of the future from The Crow will ultimately shine again. Love is after all the greatest thing in the world and above all - it can't rain forever.

The most mature performance by Trojan, Zelenka without the need to empty exhibit or cheaply dazzle and the atmosphere that every Czech relationship-affected film seeks - and which, in most cases, fails. Without unnecessarily pretentious ending, it would be a brilliant movie.

A hesitant chapter of alien mythology that significantly undermines the efforts of the producers. In their edit, the film is a play on effects that throws Ripley in the way of a bunch of tough guys (a la Aliens) in a depressingly themed environment (a la Alien). Although Fincher didn't direct the special edit, according to his original notes, a surprisingly more sophisticated version was created, with more references to older installments in the dialogues, exploring the gloomy planet... and the alien does not hatch from a dog. Nevertheless, I don't particularly like the third image of the Alien mosaic. Strange supporting characters, unnecessary religious subtext, and downright bad tricks cannot overshadow even the strong ending.

Skipping the seemingly unattainably high bar was an impossible task, but James Cameron did what he could. Ripley still works and even Newt, Hicks, or Bishop quickly grew close to my heart. However, I only started to like Aliens after the extended version, which truly gives the right charge to the psychological background of the first half. Its contribution to the additional success with the audience also lies in the timeless action and breathtaking moments full of elegantly deadly villains.

Fascinating legend, which has been delivering all films with a suggestive atmosphere of unknown evil for over forty years since its creation. Captivating performance by Sigourney Weaver, the impossibility to guess what awaits the crew in the next few seconds, accompanied by darkness, fear, and terror with the help of minimal tricks. An incomparable peak of Ridley Scott and proof that even a film where almost nothing happens in the first half can be perfectly breathtaking throughout the entire runtime.

Several years after the fading of unbearable hype, Kill Bill is still a spectacle that has no equal in the realm of multi-genre action. Despite Tarantino being somewhat annoying from a media standpoint during this period, his sense of revenge's tempo, the soundtrack, and the supporting characters were almost perfect. And when Hattori Hanzo appears and I swallow all previous prejudices, there is nothing left but to give it five stars.

If Marc Lawrence knew what he wanted to say with his screenplay, "The Ugly Truth" could have been a successful natural disaster romance. Instead, this classic romantic comedy turns into an average conversation and, in the end, incomprehensible drama flirts with mental rejuvenation. As a result, it becomes a tale of relationships and encounters throughout the four seasons, but ironically, because it is all dependent on two main characters, it doesn't have a chance to satisfy anyone.

Undoubtedly the best Van Damme's movie and an attractive (meaning immortal) tournament theme. Even with a great distance, the embodied arena sweat has its charm.

A forgotten series that, to my great joy, draws heavily from gaming mythology and expands everything into unexpectedly intricate dimensions. However, over time, the central storyline takes a backseat and the trio of rather shallow heroes fall into stereotypical episodes such as "a girl is lured into the trap of hallucinating her deceased father", which seem to have come straight out of cheapness like in the TV series Lord of Beasts. The final ending was all the more surprising because, in addition to the strong spiritual line, it also adds almost constant action and, above all, a conclusion that will make you wonder how it is possible that you simply didn't realize it had to happen.
