Occupied - Septembre (2017) (épisode)
This Norwegian political tightrope walk is really gripping me. My only concern is former Prime Minister Jesper Berg — I'm two episodes in, and he hasn't been kidnapped yet. Weird. I'm glad the creators didn't extend the number of episodes; this way, I can comfortably expect them to maintain the same quality until the end of the season.
Occupied - Août (2017) (épisode)
I had my concerns about the second season. But the resistance fighters took their time to plan things out, waiting until August instead of rushing into action in April. Just one episode in, I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy this season. Bring on September!
Marvel's Jessica Jones - Season 2 (2018) (saison)
Season 2 was a little weaker. My main problem was the fact that it lacked a typical villain. As the story didn't focus on a single goal, it seemed to be dragging and didn't have the pace I was used to in the first season. I could have easily done without some of the storylines, and the ending was too predictable. On the other hand, I did have a good time even the second time around. While blockbusters with a superhero theme don't really do it for me lately, I do enjoy similarly themed series. Unlike those slick superheroes flying around, Jessica Jones slowly staggers through the city with a bottle of cheap bourbon with a much more genuine vibe.
Marvel's Jessica Jones - AKA Le parc d'attractions (2018) (épisode)
The finale had some strong moments, but it also left me disappointed. The biggest issue was the predictability of certain events, which took away the element of surprise. I can only hope the next season will be back to the show's former glory. 4*-
Marvel's Jessica Jones - AKA Priez pour ma Patsy (2018) (épisode)
Trish is still alive, and once again, too much time is spent on Jeri and her issues. Ironically, I added an extra star compared to the previous episode, mainly because of Jeri. I have to admit, her cold-blooded manipulation was impressive.
Marvel's Jessica Jones - AKA Trois morts à son actif (2018) (épisode)
The episode had its bright moments, but not enough of them. Conversations with the dead worked great in Dexter, but here they just annoyed me. Add to that the unhinged Trish, and the fun evaporated. After such a strong first season, I'm increasingly disappointed, which is a real shame.
Marvel's Jessica Jones - AKA La côte de porc (2018) (épisode)
Although I enjoyed the tenth episode more than the previous one, it still didn’t earn a five-star rating. Once again, Trish and Jeri are to blame — they’re just not interesting anymore. The prison scenes were good and even had some atmosphere, and as usual, the best part came at the end.
Marvel's Jessica Jones - AKA La bête dans la baignoire (2018) (épisode)
I still can’t shake the feeling that the second season lacks a main villain, forcing the creators to lean on family drama and causing the show to lose some of its quality. Jeri and Trish are becoming increasingly annoying — Jeri slows down the story, and Trish doesn’t bring anything new or entertaining anymore.
Marvel's Jessica Jones - AKA Des bulles de joie (2018) (épisode)
After the flashback episode, we returned to the present, and my rating dipped again. It needs a change — Trish with her inhaler is getting repetitive, Jeri’s storyline isn’t engaging at all, and the only glimmer of hope was the action-packed ending. Let’s see where it goes from here.
Marvel's Jessica Jones - AKA Donne-moi ta folie (2018) (épisode)
Finally, a truly excellent episode! It focused on past events but in an incredibly entertaining way. The creators managed to fill in a lot of gaps and revealed things I hadn’t even considered, like where the name of the main character's detective agency came from.
