Marvel's Daredevil - .380 (2016) (épisode)

anglais The restaurant scene, and Frank Castle, is what makes this episode one of the best again.

Marvel's Daredevil - L'Homme confiné (2016) (épisode)

anglais Matt vs. Fisk is again one of the more interesting moments of dialogue in the entire series, and it can’t be denied the creators have a talent for the interaction of the main characters and the associated impressive tension and simultaneous excitement that they provide. Probably the top moment in this episode, complementing the attack on Reyes.

Tenet (2020)

anglais This is already too much of an exhibition from Nolan. A 150-minute roller coaster that spouts the same narrative scheme of his great films like Inception or The Dark Knight Rises. That is, for two hours he opens the scissors and in the third hour everything gradually closes wide, with thunderous music. That worked with the caped crusader and with the suited up Leo, but Tenet is already too much. It’s cold, complex and totally unreadable. It’s a bit like a Bond film that it’s not even worth trying to understand (especially during the screening). A story without colour, emotion or interesting characters. Only Washington breaks a sweat, and anyone can tell that he is Denzel's son after a few minutes of seeing him walk and talk. The action is cleverly shot, but the imaginary highlight is the classic hands-on plot in the kitchen anyway. With Goransson and Hoytem, everything is fine. Goransson copies Zimmer a bit in those chunky roundhouse synthesizers, but he achieves the desired effect. The last half hour can be slept through with a clear conscience, if anyone manages to do so despite all the explosions and dramatic music.

Marvel's Daredevil - Sept minutes au paradis (2016) (épisode)

anglais As the future Kingpin, Fisk is doing his magic in prison and making big plans that include using the Punisher. Awesome plot, made even better by the famous prison brawl at the end of the episode. Too bad about Matt and his so far not so great storyline with Elektra, especially with the bullshit Yakuza ninja plot.

Marvel's Daredevil - Ultime coupable (2016) (épisode)

anglais A first-rate courtroom procedural with an incredible performance by Frank himself. Surprisingly, the lack of action doesn't matter at all, quite the opposite. The story's calming down gives it a boost of intensity, after all, there have been quite a few kicks already. The same praise cannot be said for the second line with Yakuza and their strange experiment.

Marvel's Daredevil - Semper Fidelis (2016) (épisode)

anglais The Punisher has stopped punishing and now has lawyers fighting for him. We move from a dark comic book adaptation to a brilliantly lit courtroom procedural. It's an interesting departure, in a good direction. There was a bit too much action and it's time to slow down a little, hopefully it will benefit the story. The secondary plot with Elektra is kind of erratic, we'll see what the outcome is.

Marvel's Daredevil - Repentirs (2016) (épisode)

anglais A bit James Bond, a bit Mission Impossible. The important thing is that Frank Castle has charisma even in a hospital bed.

Marvel's Daredevil - Kinbaku (2016) (épisode)

anglais Not everyone will like Elektra, but for those who do, it's definitely an entertaining episode. There’s plenty of her, she’s hot, knows how to fight and is wild. We’ll see how they’ll use her potential in the coming episodes.

Marvel's Daredevil - Piécettes et petite monnaie (2016) (épisode)

anglais Frank gets his ass kicked and a true comic book fan "cries". Seeing the Punisher get beaten up hurts a lot more than seeing Daredevil get beaten up. And if that wasn't enough, Elektra comes on the scene, of course with a dark past.

Marvel's Daredevil - Le Gratin de New York (2016) (épisode)

anglais Probably the two highlights of the series as a whole. An exchange of views like in a comic-book version of Heat followed by a great single-shot fight. Exactly the boost the second season of Daredevil needed.
