Stride, Soviet!

Initially, there was an effort to satisfy the commissioned order and shoot a film promoting the Moscow Soviet. However, the end result was a typical Vertov work: no meetings, no officialdom, nothing that would help the functionaries to be reelected, but rather a strongly emotional, experimental film. The commissioning party refused to accept the film and cinemas boycotted its screening. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
