Edward Żebrowski tells a story set in the dark days of the beginning of the Nazi occupation. The young doctor (Piotr Dejmek) starts working in a psychiatric hospital and, full of ideals, encounters methods that deprive patients of their honor. Dr. Kauters (Henryk Bista) tries to treat only with surgery, Dr. Rygier (Zbigniew Zapasiewicz) tortures his patients, and in contrast, Dr. Marglewski (Wojciech Pszoniak) compares mental illness to mania. The question of humanity then arises when the Nazis decide to liquidate the hospital and execute the patients. (3Kino Fest)
