Dharma, a Nepalese mountain guide, lost the fingers on both hands and the toes on one foot climbing Everest, as a Sherpa to a 76 years old man on an expedition organized to take the Guiness Record from a Japanese man who held it at the time. A family from Gerona, who had been the guide’s clients, brought him and his wife Asmita, to their house. For four months they did their utmost to provide Dharma with the medical operations he needs to be self-sufficient again. (Ministerio de Cultura)
