The Amager Bakke waste plant in Copenhagen proves that architecture does not have to serve only one purpose. The famous Danish studio BIG of the architect Bjarke Ingels managed to combine the waste-to-energy plant with a ski slope and a climbing wall. This cinematic construction site symphony follows popping of champagne corks, dreams lost in smoke rings and abrasions from artificial snow as well as the first trip down the blackslope.
