In New York, hundreds of thousands of people live in wheelchairs and many others with reduced mobility. But public transport, especially the subway, remains woefully inaccessible to them. This short documentary captures the vicissitudes of disabled passengers in New York's largest transportation network, where less than a quarter of stations have an elevator. Commuting to work can take hours, and just getting in and out is a test of physical stamina and courage for many. But despite injuries, deaths and appeals for change, accessibility for all is still a distant dream in the largest city in the United States. (One World)
