It's the 'beer' league softball championship game, and for these boys, tonight is the most important night of their lives. Nick's cousin Bobby 'Dimes' is a mess. His bravado’s trying to hide it, but he’s in trouble with the local mafia and owes money all around town; with no way to pay. Word has spread that the gangsters plan on coming by the game to collect.
