Bee

Bee attends her new school excited to make new friends, but when she gets there, she sees it’s much harder than she imagined. She finally meets another black girl, Jessica, and the two become friends. But when Jessica makes a comment about Bee’s kinky hair and suddenly leaves Bee for a group of white girls with hair more similar to hers. Bee is left standing alone, for the first time realizing the difference between herself and the other kids at school. (Pan African Film Festival)
