Ninosca - The Woman and the Emigrant´s Song

Many years have passed since Torbiörnsson first met Ninosca in the small Nicaraguan village San Fernando. At that time she was 13. Since then she has participated in both his prize-winning documentaries. Nowdays Ninosca has left her husband and is living as an undocumented work migrant in Spain. But the trip intended to generate money for her children’s studies has resulted in a nightmarish existence with inhumane working conditions. Torbiörnsson continues his life’s work portraying a poor woman’s liberation and class differences at a global level. (Göteborg Film Festival)
