Lorsque ses parents partent pour un mois en Europe, Ezéquiel, adolescent solitaire, tente d’avoir des expériences sexuelles avec des garçons. Bien qu’il envoie des signaux clairs, ou les observe avec insistance dans les toilettes du lycée, c’est toujours sans succès. Il finit par rencontrer dans un skatepark le charismatique Mono, séduisant bad-boy qui va lui offrir bien plus que la relation intime et charnelle qu’il envisageait. Doucement il l’entraîne vers une pente aussi excitante que dangereuse… (Optimale)

Young Hunter is another example Marco Berger's distinctive directorial style, which is all about intimacy, small talk and innuendo. But this is a very disturbing film if you thinks about its story. While The Blonde One and Hawaii were more to my liking, Young Hunter is also a noteworthy film with a compelling premise that could certainly have been handled in a more lively manner if Berger, an expert in slow-burn storytelling, hadn't been sitting in the director's chair. Last but not least, I must highlight the oppressive musical score, which added to the film's unsettling atmosphere.
