Cuca (Portrait of a Woman)

Cuca is a non-fiction film about an 87-year-old woman from the Asturian town of Luanco. She has serious health problems but, nevertheless, the optimism and joy with which she faces this situation is a life lesson for us all. As a child, Cuca wanted to be an actress, but when a theater company went to ask her father’s permission for her to work with them, his answer was “no, all artists are whores”.
