This is a story about a femme fatale the European way. No emphasis on how tough the main hero is, what a bore he is. On the contrary, he is quite a normal person who, thanks to his unwanted desire and lust, turns into a wretch. It is a beautiful example of self-destruction with great acting performances and excellent direction.
