anglais A slightly contradictory series for me. I looked forward to it every week, even though I didn't actually enjoy it all the way through. I watched it, it was interesting, but sometimes slightly unsatisfying. It was a very human series and a lot of the moments the characters were having and experiencing were shown very realistically. A pathological long-term relationship that neither party can end, a strange relationship based not entirely on love but on shared plans, such that when they change, the relationship doesn't work at all. The four main characters of the two "failed" relationships are definitely interesting, they have something going for them and they really evolve over time. For better or worse. One can totally understand why the main character behaves the way she does: she's in a three-year relationship, she doesn't want to ruin it, but she is drawn to someone else and so tries to grasp at every straw to stay with the one she's planned her future with. Sometimes you think she's had enough, that she's held on too long and should give in, but then again, I wonder if it wouldn't be her at all if that happened. Because she has her principles, she sticks to them as much as she can, even though it probably irritates the viewer. Her boyfriend is a terribly unappealing guy, so I was surprised she wanted to salvage a relationship with someone like that, but I guess that's what the creators wanted. The same with the other member of the foursome wasn’t even likable by the skin of her teeth. She was actually the most unappealing character of the entire series, but she had her reasons and some development. The whole relationship story is rounded out by the supporting characters, with some being flatter, others richer in character. Together, it makes for an interesting relationship pic that goes nowhere in a hurry. It's interesting, it manages to keep the viewer on their toes. A strong 3 stars. ()
