Lars, infirmier à Sarrebruck, déménage à Berlin avec son compagnon Roland. Ensemble, ils se lancent dans la rénovation d’un appartement. Roland croit leur bonheur parfait, mais il ne sait pas que Lars explore les tréfonds de la nuit berlinoise et y réalise des expériences risquées… Adapté d’une célèbre affaire qui a secoué l’Allemagne en 2015, ce film choc fait le portrait d’un meurtrier-empoisonneur au GBH. En une semaine, il tua trois hommes et tenta d’en assassiner deux autres. (Optimale)

Darkroom – Drops of Death has some very strange visuals and direction, and while it offers a pretty solid premise, the execution is a bit lackluster. There were certain points in the film where I didn't like the way they played with the production design and tried to evoke the inner feelings of the characters. Apart from that, I found the film more suitable for television rather than having potential for cinema screens. Of all the characters, the stern judge appealed to me the most, otherwise the performances were rather bland. It's a shame the crime plot, which had some potential, was so blandly presented.
