I’ve seen my fair share of WWI-trenches movies. But this movie had exactly the thing they’re all missing – a better story than just everybody waiting in a trench and praying that the general won’t come with the attack command. I can see that the WWI wasn’t about much else, but since there’s a movie about a life in the trenches, I’d like the characters to be memorable. They were lucky that Daniel Craig appeared in the lead role, because I’ll definitely remember his character. But that is the only thing I’ll remember about this movie in a few months.
