Wu-Lin is the successor of an ancient clan specializing in the Iron Kick, and after the death of his master he goes to the big city to look for fellow apprentice Jiang-Li. Soon he finds himself the bodyguard to spoiled rich girl Faye, who is hiding a softer side. Kidnapping, betrayal, and burial ensue, and Wu-Lin must unleash his clan's secret techniques to help free Faye. The plot mostly serves as the vehicle to string together some insanely enjoyable and bone-shattering action set pieces. Fists, feet, and mullets fly across the screen with reckless abandon, barely giving you the chance to catch your breath. (Hawaii International Film Festival)

anglais My most anticipated action movie is over and it turned out great. The story is quite simple but captivating. The main character is tasked with being a bodyguard for the local boss's daughter, who is always being harassed. The chemistry between them is excellent as the daughter is rightly arrogant and bossy, hence there are some funny scenes. There's a lot action in the film, and definitely something to watch. The choreography is top-notch and unorthodox, the punches are very rough, the main character breaks bad guys in all ways, arms, legs, hands (perhaps the highest number of broken limbs I've ever seen in a movie). The movie even shifts into the revenge genre at the end, culminating in a warehouse battle against five bad guys, and Yue Song gets a good beating for perhaps the first time. In the finale we have a flashback to Ip Man, only here he fights alone against perhaps 100, there is too much acrobatics, but still shot brilliantly, but the final fight was the weakest for me because the villain has an iron hand and it lacks the magic. Yue Song did what the trailer promised, a new Bruce Lee, only stronger and faster. Yu Xing played the villain brilliantly and perhaps his best role after The Wrath of Vajra. In places the film is a bit overwrought, the main character has a leg made of iron because of his father, so after a kick the adversaries fly away more than a meter, but if you can get over that, you are in for an old school action ride like there hasn't been for a long time. I screamed like I was at a tournament during the fights! 80%! ()
