This film propaganda by famous Hollywood director Billy Wilder is one of the first documentaries openly showing the inhumane atrocities committed in concentration camps. This short film was supposed to serve as an introductory video for German citizens who often refused to acknowledge their share of guilt regarding the Holocaust. There were personal reasons for Billy Wilder to make this film too - his mother and grandmother both perished in Auschwitz. (Summer Film School)
