HERR LEHMANN'S name is actually Frank but, seeing as he'll soon be thirty, everyone has now started calling him "Herr Lehmann". HERR LEHMANN is the patron saint of all bartenders, beer drinkers and lovers of meaningless conversations that have established themselves in the shelter of the Berlin Wall in the West Berlin district of Kreuzberg in the year 1989. While there are signs of huge social upheaval in East Berlin, HERR LEHMANN experiences a number of unexpected occurrences: The appearance of an unrelenting dog, a visit from his parents, falling in love with the beautiful chef Katrin, his best friend Karl, and a mystery drinker of Kristallweizen beer all create turmoil in his life within a short period of time.
