It is now 30 years since Broder Daniel tog its first faltering steps towards the iconic status that would make Henrik Berggren one of Sweden’s foremost rock stars. But the journey there was far from straight and due to the guitarist Anders Göthberg’s tragic death, the band performed their last show at Way Out West in 2008. Since then, quiet has surrounded Henrik Berggren, but when two American debut filmmakers fall deeply in love with the Swedish indie band, they contact Berggren, who has now established a solo career at the same time as he struggles with chronic fatigue syndrome. The result is a fascinating journey through Göteborg’s indie scene and an accolade to Henrik Berggren’s unique voice. (Göteborg Film Festival)
