In the late 1980s, The Synthetics were playing in and around Louisville, Kentucky when band members Chaz, Chip, Chris, Kelly and Todd decided to take their show on the road. With guitars, keyboards, drums and a video camera loaded into a van, the band headed to New York and a gig at the world famous CBGBs. There were hours of video shot that chronicled the trip and the show. Thirty years later, Chaz found the footage and conducted some recent interviews with the band and their manager. All of that footage was handed to Chaz’s son Noah to edit, and he fashioned it into an insightful. But wait, there’s more! In the midst of this travel, the band created several music videos. The first, based on the song “Madame,” made it to MTV’s final Basement Tapes program. So – in the course of a year – The Synthetics played CBGBs and made it onto MTV when that network still played music videos. (Orlando Film Festival)
