The incessant rural migration to the big cities is the product, to a great extent, of the miserable situation lived in the country. The new generations of peasants, tired of the futile effort of working with rudimentary methods the arid lands of the north of the country, are seduced by the fake mirage of welfare promised by Mexico City.
