Finnish-Russian Kostya (Ville Haapasalo) is in his thirties and lives an unstable life. He cleans the underground and runs small errands for his family friend Alexey (Andrei Tsumak). Alexey manages a stripper circle and rewards Kostya's efforts with a temporary place to live and occasional sums of money. When Kostya moved to Finland with his parents in the early 1990s, life changed significantly for the teenage boy. His mother died shortly after moving and his father Anatoly (Oleg Letnikov) grew distant. The father got Kostya a dog to console him, but now the poor old dog has become a nuisance. Neither Kostya nor his father is able to talk about the dead mother and it disrupts their relationship. Kostya keeps his distance from his father and his thoroughly Russian friends – the men of the Nature and Health Society, who lean on traditions and each other. But when Alexey's latest find, Masha (Olga Shuvalova), arrives from St. Petersburg, Kostya has to move back in with his father... (texte officiel du distributeur)
