Zagros vit dans un village kurde avec sa femme enceinte, Havin, et leur fille de neuf ans. Pendant qu’il fait paître ses moutons en montagne, Zagros apprend que sa famille a accusé Havin d’adultère. Quand il rentre au village, il découvre qu’Havin s’est enfuit en Belgique avec leur fille. Convaincu de son innocence, Zagros paie des contrebandiers pour pouvoir rejoindre sa femme et leur fille. Tout va bien jusqu’au moment que le père de Zagros arrive chez eux. (Montreal World Film Festival)

The mentality of the Kurds is different, and for Central Europeans, it's so distant that we can hardly understand the behavior of the main character towards the woman of his life. This film, however, is not only about whether love or honor will prevail in Zagros's internal struggle, but also about the consuming jealousy that persistently adds fuel to the fire until an uncontrollable conflagration erupts. Jealousy is indeed one of the human emotions that all of us have encountered at some point. As far as the story is concerned, I have to appreciate the fact that it is not clear until the last moment who is actually right and how it will all turn out. (75%)
