Sin Salida (S03E07)

A great raid on a penthouse, a suspenseful, almost Fincher-like scene in a bathroom, and the character of Jorge Salcedo, who is sometimes more interesting than the main gang members, and superbly played by the actor in question. So far, the second part of the third season is far sharper than the first. (30/10/2019)

Episode seven is definitely one of the better ones. The pre-credits scene in the church set the perfect tone, and the rest kept me entertained. The cartel rivalries are heating up, and tensions between the Rodríguez brothers add another layer of intrigue. There was plenty of suspense and solid action, but I just couldn’t give it five stars because of that bathroom scene. Last-second rescues are so overdone, I was hoping filmmakers and showrunners would steer clear of them by now. (15/07/2018)
