The Incidental

Jake is a young, idealistic journalist who has left full time newspaper work to concentrate on a research project he is passionate about: an examination of unchecked and unethical expansion of cities. Through sheer accident, he overhears a benign but intriguing conversation that takes on more and more significance as events unfold around him. As Jake's obsession with uncovering the puzzle of the conversation and the men behind it grows, he slowly begins to realize that his hearing of the conversation that started it all might not have been an accident after all. Unable to trust anyone, Jake has to decide whether he really is on the verge of uncovering a conspiracy involving an overambitious land-developer and some of the city's key power-brokers, or if his paranoia and obsession is leading him on a path to destruction.
