Stanley Kubrick stepped behind the camera and shot a fifteen-minute documentary about a boxer, whose name probably means nothing to us today. It was about the boxer Walter Cartier, whom we followed before the match. There are excellent camera shots during the match, but it's nothing revolutionary. The brilliant thing about it is that you can already see how important storytelling became for Kubrick later on. In that, he became a master. ()
